I love this adorable antique 3 drawer dresser. I bought this one to go in my entryway and it had been sitting there unfinished for months (a furniture refinishers furniture is never finished…or something like that). A few weeks back I finally had time to tackle it but had the hardest time deciding how to refinish it. I have a few painted pieces fairly close to one another in this part of my house, I was worried painting it would make the space feel hodgepodge and too painted, if that’s even a thing? I decided to go safe and paint it white so it would coordinate with the rest of the space. I wanted to keep some woodgrain so I stained the drawer fronts. I seriously adore it!! However, I feel as though the white gets washed out in the space with my white couches and white corner hutch. I tried to live with it for a while but it’s just not working for me! I think I want a solid wood piece in the entryway to warm it up and add contrast to my white couches. Luckily, I have another dresser of similar dimension that’s been temporarily used as a tv stand in our bonus room. I think I’ll to use that one for the entryway space instead. My plan is to sand that one down and stain it a rich warm brown. Anyway, my loss is your gain! This pretty is for sale!
This is painted in BEHR cottage white satin finish and then lightly distressed. It’s a creamy white and looks stunning paired with the warm drawer fronts. The Drawers are stained Minwax Jacobean. The entire piece is protected with minwax finishing wax in natural.
I got these crackle ceramic knobs at Hobby Lobby. They add such a charming touch to this dresser. The drawers all run smooth and are sturdy!
You can purchase this one over in the shop for $250.
