This pretty dresser was in some rough shape when I bought it. There was a lot of chipping veneer and the drawers were kind of falling apart. It has such a beautiful shape though that with a little TLC it’s now a beautiful and functional piece.
After some repair work to the drawers and chipping veneer. I painted this Louis Blue by Annie Sloan. I then lightly distressed it and finally applied dark wax. The pictures don’t really capture the depth the dark wax provides. This close up helps a little.
I staged this piece in my entry way and I adored the light pop of color and the curved front. I was tempted to keep this one! I just love the key holes, they add so much antique charm to the piece.
I think this dresser is super versatile. The height makes it acceptable to use as a dining room buffet, but it also works well in an entryway (obviously), or would look stunning in a bedroom used for its intended purpose. You can purchase this one over in the shop for $275!
